A note from Clive:
One night, I saw a pale light drifting along in the dark waters of Ghostlight Cove, not far from Gravisbridge. It brought to mind a story that had shaped my life before I was old enough to understand it.
My parents met on a beach in Malta after they were both stung by jellyfish. A moment of pain that broke the ice and brought two strangers together. Remove the jellyfish from that story and I wouldn’t be here to tell it. And so I began carrying its image with me, adopting the ghostly little creature as my own. Eventually, it became what I call the Ghostfish - my personal insignia, and a symbol of the strange, unseen moments that quietly shape who we become.
There’s something beautiful and poetic about the fact that we rarely know which moments will become important while we’re living them. Something fleeting, accidental, even painful can linger long enough to become part of our own lore. Maybe there was a moment like that in your life too… a chance encounter, a loss, a detour, some bit of happenstance that seemed small at the time and later became part of who you are. I carry the Ghostfish with me as a reminder to notice those moments and give meaning to them as part of the lifelong art of becoming. Or, to put it simply, learning how to Haunt Beautifully.
A shape in the water became a symbol that shaped me. If you recognize yourself in what it represents, the symbol is now yours to carry too. 🪼
